We have had Keeshonden as part of our family for over 30 years, and started showing Kees in 1999.
We are “show breeders” meaning that we breed occasionally to get our next great show dog. Of course, all Keeshonden are family companions. Some also enjoy agility, conformation, obedience, rally, therapy, or other activities with their people; or just cuddling on the couch.
We perform all health tests on our dogs that are recommended by the Keeshond Club of America, and more. We breed to the Keeshond Club of America (KCA) standard and subscribe to the AKC, KCA, and Canadian Kennel Club codes of ethics. We are members of all 3, as well as, Anoka County Minnesota Kennel Club, Buckeye Keeshond Club, Central Ohio Kennel Club, Heart of America Keeshond Club, the Keeshond Club of Canada, the Mid-Ohio Owner Handler Association, and the Sierra Keeshond Club. We have been recognized by the AKC as “Breeders of Merit.”
Our dogs are part of the family and live in our home. Their fenced playground is our five acres of former Christmas tree farm. We have been fortunate enough to be able to frame our lifestyle to spend most of our time with our Keeshonden. Geof is retired and devotes his time to the dogs. Karen is self-employed and works from home most of the time.
