At the NSHGC AKC Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Dec. 31st:

  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail BN, RN, MX, MXJ, CGC, RATO] finished his agility year with a Double Q and 8 MACH pts.

At Minnesota Agility Club CPE Trial at On The Run in Ham Lake, MN Dec 9th-10th:

FRIDAY RESULTS:

  • MESA [LadySlipper's Blackberry Bramble, CL1] rand Betty Gladfelter qualified and placed First in Level 3 Colors and WildCard. They qualified and placed Second in Level 3 Jumpers.

SATURDAY RESULTS:


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat, CL2] and Betty Gladfelter qualified and placed Third in Level 3 Jumpers with no faults. They also qualified in Level 3 Full-house leaving them one run away from finished Level 3.

  • MESA [LadySlipper's Blackberry Bramble, CL1] rand Betty Gladfelter qualified and placed first in Level 2 Standard leaving them one run away from finishing Level 2.

At the Rottweiler Club Obedience Trial at SPDTC, St. Paul , MN Dec. 3rd-4th:

  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail RN, BN, MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO] earned his Beginner Novice Obedience title and two legs in Advanced Rally.

At On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Nov. 26th:


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat, CL2] and Betty Gladfelter qualified and placed in Colors 2nd place and Snooker 3rd place. Sadie completed Level 3 handlers and Strategy Games leaving only CL3 F (fun games) to complete her Level 3 title.

  • MESA [LadySlipper's Blackberry Bramble, CL1] rand Betty Gladfelter qualified and placed in Level 3 Colors 3rd place and Snooker first place.

At On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Nov. 13th:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RN, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and Junior Handler Emily qualified and placed in three Level 3 events: Jumpers-1st place, Full-House-2nd place, and Wildcard-2nd place. The Wildcard Q completed their requirements for the CL3-H title.

At On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Nov. 11th-12th:


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat, CL2] and Betty Gladfelter qualified and placed in three level 3 events: Snooker-1st place, Jackpot-2nd place, and Colors 3rd place.

  • MESA [LadySlipper's Blackberry Bramble, CL1] rand Betty Gladfelter qualified with first place in two level 2 events, Standard and Jackpot and qualified in their first level 3 event in spite of a visit to a nearby bar-setter!

At IABCA International Dog Show in Hutchinson, MN Nov. 5th-6th:


All four received V1 certificates for all 4 shows, the highest possible rating, and earning them International Championship titles.

  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] qualified in Standard for 3 MACH points.

At the TCVESSA AKC Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN, October 22-23rd:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] qualified 3 out of 4 runs giving him another double Q and 12 points towards his MACH title.

At the Minnesota Mixed Breed Club CPE Agility event in Isanti, MN, October 16th:


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat CL2] and Betty Gladfelter qualified in Colors with a third place/no faults. This finishes her requirement for her CL3-R. Sadie and Betty placed 2nd in their level 3 Jackpot run.

  • MESA [LadySlipper’s Blackberry Bramble CL1] and Betty qualified in Full-House level 2 with a first place, and Snooker level 2.

These were in a horse arena with dirt floors and horses in stalls along the side of the rings. There was much sniffing while running, and they still managed some pretty fast times.

  • GRETCHEN [LadySlipper's Here For The Party, RATI] won Best of Breed and Group 2 in the fun match on the 7th, and was Winner's Bitch in regular classes on the 8th.

At the Bales and Tails Barn Hunt held in conjunction with the Wright County Show in Hutchinson, MN, October 8th:


  • GRETCHEN [LadySlipper's Here For The Party, RATI] qualified in the Instinct test, identifying the rat in 31.68 seconds out of the 60 allowed.

At the Wine Country Cluster in NY, September 29th-October 2nd:


  • CATO [GCh LadySlipper's Apollo for Ruttkay] won Best of Breed all 4 days and National Owner Handler Group 2 at the Canadasago Kennel Club show.

At the Anoka Kennel Club Obedience Trial in Ham Lake, MN, September 24th-25th:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and Karen Sheahan made their Rally and Obedience debut this weekend qualifying both Saturday and Sunday in Rally Novice and winning second place Sunday with a score of 195. Sunday, Beau also qualified with first place in his first attempt in Beginner Novice Obedience.

At the Bales and Tails Barn Hunt Fun Hunt in Clear Lake, MN, September 3rd: 


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat CL2] passed the Instict test, finding the rat in 24 sec out of the 60 allowed. She also qualified in the Novice hunt.

  • MESA [LadySlipper’s Blackberry Bramble CL1] and Betty qualified in four events and earning Mesa's CL1:
    Jackpot Level 1 - 1st place. Q for her title
    Colors Level 2 - 2nd place. Q.
    Fullhouse Level 2 - 2nd place. Q
    Standard Level 2 - 2nd place . Q. 

At the first ever Game Fair Junior Handler Agility Challenge in Anoka, MN, August 14th:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and his Junior Handler Emily took first to advance on to the finals. They won a fabulous embroidered slip leash.

At the Duluth Kennel Club in Duluth, MN, July 14th-17th: 


  • JUNIPER [CH LadySlipper’s Juniper Berry] was Select Bitch all four days!

  • LEXIE [LadySlipper’s Fortuna] won Winner's Bitch on Thursday.

  • JUNIPER [CH LadySlipper’s Juniper Berry] and GRETCHEN [LadySlipper’s Here For The Party] won Best in Show in the Brace Competition on Sunday.

At FKPS Agility CPE trial in Burnsville, MN (Indoor at Soccer Blast), June 19th: 


  • MESA [LadySlipper’s Blackberry Bramble] and Betty ran FIVE events in one day.  They qualified and placed in each one, with 4 out of 5 No Fault runs. Spectacular! Here are the details:
    Colors Level 2 - 1st place. Q. No faults
    Standard Level 2 - 1st place. Q No faults. She had the fastest time in Level 2 across all heights !!
    Snooker Level 2 - 2nd place. Q
    Wildcard Level 2 - 3rd place . Q. No faults
    Jumpers Level 2 - 1st place. Q. No faults

What a banner performance for this team!

At Rocky Mountain Keeshond Club Regional Specialty in Colorado Springs, CO May 24-25th:


  • CARRIE [Am/Can CH Windrift’s Cash ‘N Carry LS] placed 3rd in the 10-12 year Veteran Sweepstakes and 2nd in the 10-12 year Veteran class in the RMKC Specialty.

  • LILAC [Am/Int CH LadySlipper’s Silverado] placed 2rd in the 8-10 year Veteran Sweepstakes and 3rd in the 8-10 year Veteran class in the RMKC Specialty.

  • JUNIPER [CH LadySlipper’s Juniper Berry] and GRETCHEN [LadySlipper’s Here For The Party] placed 1st in Brace competition.

 At KCA National Specialty hosted by RMKC in Colorado Springs, CO May 25-29th:


  • STRIDER [Am/Int CH LadySlipper’s North Tracker, RA] placed 1st in the 8-10 year Veteran class and advanced to compete for Best in Show.

  • CARRIE [Am/Can CH Windrift’s Cash ‘N Carry LS] placed 3rd in the 10-12 year Veteran class.

  • LILAC [Am/Int CH LadySlipper’s Silverado] placed 3rd in the 8-10 year Veteran class.

  • JUNIPER [CH LadySlipper’s Juniper Berry] and Gretchen [LadySlipper’s Here For The Party] were Best in Show Brace, reclaiming the  title for LadySlipper Kees that several braces before them have won. Check out the “Just for Fun“ section of the web site to see other braces over the years.

  • BERRY [Am/Int CH LadySlipper’s Razzberry Beret] placed 2nd in the Brood Bitch class, on the merits of her kids Trek and Juniper.

  • TREK [Am/Int CH LadySlipper’s RodNBerry WarpFactor4] made the final cut in Best in Show.


Next year the National will be in Novi, Michigan.


At South Paws K9 Academy CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN May 15th:


  • mesa tire 05.2016SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat CL2] and Betty Gladfelter had a great day running two events. Sadie placed first Level 3 Standard with a no fault run. This finishes her requirement for her CL3-R. Sadie and Betty placed 2nd in their level 3 Jackpot run.

  • MESA [LadySlipper’s Blackberry Bramble] and Betty placed first in their level 2 Wild Card run with no faults. They completed 12 obstacles in 20.78 seconds beating out both a Sheltie and a Mini Aussie by a full 5 seconds ! Although not a qualifying run, Mesa aced the tire obstacle in Level 1 Jackpot, which had been her nemesis in a past trial.

select hoack 2016At the Leavenworth KC show / Heart of America Cluster in Kansas City, MO March 10th:


  • GRETCHEN [LadySlipper's Here For The Party] won the Bred by Exhibitor class.

  • JUNIPER [Ch LadySlipper's Juniper Berry] made the cut and was moved to 4th bitch in the final line up of specials competing for Best of Breed. It was her first time competing as a special (champion). 

At the Heart of America Keeshond Club Specialty Shows concurrent with the Heart of America Cluster in Kansas City, MO March 11th:


  • JUNIPER [Ch LadySlipper's Juniper Berry] was awarded Select Bitch. It was especially fun because her sire, Cubit [GCh Skyline's Unit Of Measure], was Best in Specialty Show.

  • GRETCHEN [LadySlipper's Here For The Party] placed 3rd in the 9-12 month class in Puppy Sweepstakes and 3rd in the Bred by Exhibitor class.

At the HOAKC Specialty Show March 12th:


  • GRETCHEN [placed 4th in the 9-12 month class in Puppy Sweepstakes.

At On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Feb. 28th:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and his junior handler Emily placed in three Level 3 events: Standard, running 19 seconds under the course time for 1st place; Colors finished Level 3 and placed 2nd; and Wildcard placed 3rd. All were NO FAULT runs!


At On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Feb. 26th:


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat CL2] and Betty Gladfelter ran Snooker Level 3 beautifully until Betty fell right at the finish. Sadie finished the course then came to check on Betty. They placed 2nd with 44 points, well over the needed 30.  Sadie ran Jumpers Level 3 with a handler from their training class with NO FAULTS, then Sadie ran out of the ring without her leash on, looking for Betty. That resulted in "No time, disqualified.

  • MESA [LadySlipper's Blackberry Bramble] ran Snooker Level 1 with a different friend from class whom Mesa just met 10 minutes before their run. They gathered 51 points (needed 26) and placed 1st. They ran Jumpers Level 2 with NO FAULTS and placed 4th.

Sadie and Mesa did amazingly well, even with the changes in handlers. Betty is healing and has the next agility trial in her sights.


At the Northstar Rottweiler Club AKC Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Feb. 21st:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and Karen Sheahan earned 6 points towards a future MACH title.

At the Miniature Pinscher Club of Greater Twin Cities AKC Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Feb. 13th:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and Karen Sheahan celebrated Valentine's Day weekend with a "Double Q" performance and earned 7 points towards a future MACH title.

At the Twin Cities Voyageur English Springer Spaniel Association (TCVESSA) AKC beau dq cropAgility Trial in St. Paul, MN Jan. 30th: 


  • BEAU  [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and  Karen Sheahan earned a "Double Q" (QQ) by qualifying in both Jumpers with Weaves and Standard events at the same trial.  Beau also earned another 10 points towards his future MACH title by beating the course time.

At the On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Jan. 17th:  


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and his Junior Handler Emily qualified and placed 1st in Snooker Level 3; 2nd in Full House and Colors Level 3; and 3rd in Standard Level 3. All no fault. The Standard Q fulfilled the remaining requirement to earn Emily her CPE Junior Handler title.

At the On The Run CPE Agility Trial in Ham Lake, MN Jan. 16th:


  • SADIE [LadySlipper's Cavalier Plumed Hat CL2] and Better Gladfelter ran Level 3 Standard and Wildcard events. Both were NO FAULT qualifying runs, earning them 2nd place in each event, based on accuracy and time.

  • MESA [LadySlipper's Blackberry Bramble] and Betty ran Level 1 Jackpot and Jumpers, performing well until Mesa decided to run under the tire instead of jumping through it in both events. No points for creativity in agility. 

At Land O' Lakes Kennel Club All-Breed Shows in St. Paul, MN January 9th:


The first LadySlipper Kees title of 2016 was earned in style at a show with 18 Kees and nearly 2,000 dogs entered.


  • TREK [LadySlipper's RodnBerry Warp Factor 4] and David Larson earned Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 4-point crossover major to finish Trek's AKC Championship! Trek earned both of his major wins as 4-point crossovers. If you review the previous Latest News entries, you'll see that Trek earned his International Championship in October, and a 4-point major in November.  David and Trek have developed into a great team.  

  • LEXIE [LadySlipper's Fortuna] and Kristi Midas earned Reserve Winners Bitch to the 4-point major.

It was a fun show and the LadySlipper Kees enjoyed plenty of attention from spectators. We all enjoyed the camaraderie grooming and showing together, as well as visits with several members of the extended Ladyslipper Kees Family who came to watch. 


 


At the St. Paul Dog Club AKC Agility Trial Jan. 1st & 2nd:


  • BEAU [CH LadySlipper's Top Hat And Tail MX, MXJ, CGC, RATI, RATO, TN-N, WV-N, NAC, NJC] and Karen Sheahan earned 2 legs in Masters level Jumpers and placed 3rd based on time.  At the Masters level, only perfect runs under posted course time qualify. What a great way to start the year!
